These are the archival Miu Miu pieces I’d buy again and again in a heartbeat.
Racks lined the baby blue interior of the Miu Miu store in midtown last night, full of the actress Joey King’s favorite pieces. She wore chocolate brown suede, and chose a few gorgeous forest green pieces as her go-tos. The event was held in celebration of her edit, and guests wandered the shop clinking champagne glasses and snapping photos. I don’t usually dress for brands–unless I personally love and collect them. But that’s the case for Miu Miu: I usually mix and match archival and vintage pieces from my personal collection with other bits and bobs from my wardrobe.
On the surface level, my favorite vintage Miu Miu items are just a handful of quirky statement pieces, but going a bit deeper, they represent the core ethos of the old Miu Miu aesthetic I live for–the one that made me want to write the book about the brand! These are the pieces I wore last night, that I’d collect over and over again, if given the chance.
