Grace Ling spring 2026 review.
Rising designer Grace Lee brought a subtle combination of new world tailoring, neo minimalism and ‘90s goth lite to her spring 2026 show held in Brooklyn last night with a spellbinding collection touching on old and new. Think: fabrics that were burnt, cracked, broken, torn and pleated into chic submission, all inspired by the designer’s passion for antique shopping and found objects.
Lee has a talent for accessories, and she presented an enchanting lineup of structured bags with a dark fantasy edge. Box-like shapes came with twisted metal flower stems and hair was braided down to the floor, creating an extension of the body and fabrics, woven with spikes and sculptural, winding silver talismans. In the context of New York Fashion Week especially, Lee is one of the handful of strong women led brands that has an incredibly strong point of view that doesn’t stray too commercial.
Iconic model Debra Shaw opened the show in a space-y silver metal couture top and Alton Mason, Ashley Graham, Precious Lee and Quannah Chasinghorse were also part of the all-star casting. “People often look at crafts of the past and they say that ‘people don’t make things like this anymore,’ We wanted to bring that back and the collection pays homage to craft and extensive intricate details,” she wrote in the show notes.
