There’s a brand new Acne Studios Outlet that just opened at Woodbury Common about one hour away from New York City. Apparently, it just opened last week. Even better? It’s the only Acne Studios outlet in the entire country and offers pieces discounted up to 75 percent so far. Most everything in the store is at least 50 percent off.
Having visited the Acne Archive in Stockholm, a dream for any Acne fan, this is the next best thing. The Acne Archive offers quirky, reworked pieces from the brand but the sizes are much more limited. Blame it on the skinny Swedes.
At the Woodbury Common outlet, there’s accessories, cozy sweaters, shearling jackets, leather ankle boots and more in the $200-$300 range. This is definitely one of the better outlets to visit at Woodbury, simply because of its selection–both men’s and women’s pieces–and prices. I saw pieces from the spring 2016 runway show as well as staples of the brand, such as the plain beanies, sweaters, safety pin inspired brooches and pistol boots.
It’ll take you some time to hunt through the store to find thing beyond the standard half off price, but I promise you it’s worth the hunt. I picked up a pair of leather pistol boots–a chic ankle boot that is a staple of the brand and released every season for $142. The original price? $570! Even at 50 percent off, that’s more you’ll find than at the typical Acne Studios store, which usually only discounts by 40 percent during sale season.
One thing: there’s no returns or exchanges. All items are final sale, so make sure you love whatever you buy there. Unfortunately most of the other outlet stores at Woodbury do allow for returns or exchanges for a limited amount of time.
