Anissa Kermiche’s Enchanting Vases

If you’ve follow any modern interior design accounts on Instagram or if you’ve scrolled past any fashion person’s home online recently, you may have come across one of Anissa Kermiche’s iconic vases.

Though Kermiche may be well-known for her jewelry, her womanly forms transposed into vases are what truly set her apart as a designer. Originally a student in engineering and computer science, the Paris-born designer switched to studying jewelry at Central Saint Martins in London, and she eventually launched her line in 2016.

Anissa Kermiche’s classic “Love Handles” vase features the silhouette of the hips, upper thighs and butt of a woman rendered in ceramic. You can get two different looks from the vase, depending which side you decide to face forward. And much like Kermiche’s jewelry collection, there’s a strong and dedicated appreciation for the details of curved, feminine lines and the joy of not taking fashion and decor too seriously.

While the “Love Handles” vases have become Kermiche’s most iconic designs, she has also expanded into forms of the female bust and torso.

Her collection has also found success in the fact that it’s relatively affordable compared to her jewelry. One of the most affordable pieces is the Popotin ceramic pot, which retails for under about $65. She has also created exceptional candlestick holders in the shape of the female form as well as elegant little bowls with ceramic ears flanking each side.

According to the designer, she initially designed the “Love Handles” vase after not finding anything similar in the interiors market. Friends and buyers began making personal orders, which inspired her to design more “Love Handles” in various prints and colors.

While we adore her gem-studded jewelry, Anissa Kermiche clearly has a strong talent for the world of interiors. We could definitely see her becoming even more of a household name in decor, in the very near future.
