Once upon a time, the famous jewelry designer Elsa Peretti collaborated with the iconic fashion designer Halston, on a line of futuristic cosmetics like you’ve never seen before.
The two were close friends and in the circle of the fabulous Studio 54 crowd, having met in the late 1960s. Designer Stephen Burrows and Andy Warhol were friends with the duo, and it was actually Halston that would introduce Peretti to the top people at Tiffany’s would would later hire her in 1974 to start designing for the brand.
Sometime in the 1970s, Halston and Elsa Peretti came together for the cosmetics collection. Rendered in gorgeous sculptural white bottles and shapely compacts, the collection stood as objects of desire from an otherworldly realm.
