PatBo Fall 2024
We’ve surpassed the fashion show for sake of show and finally hit a point in time where designers are being more intentional about fashion and performance than ever before. Enter: PatBo’s fall 2024 show, which kicked off with an incredibly elegant ballet performance by the talented Joffrey Ballet School before turning into a couture runway show and balloon, confetti-scattered cocktail party.
New York Fashion Week is always going to be commercial. It’s intrinsic to the culture of what it is. So it was satisfying to see so much handmade work on full display. Think: fashion with heart and soul–wearable objects that make you feel things! PatBo creative director Creative Director Patricia Bonaldi dubbed the collection “Femme Frames” and alluded to the inspiration of romance and the modern woman’s wardrobe. The collection was tightly edited with just 20 looks. most featuring luscious hand-beading and joyous hand-embroidery. It’s currently awards season, and any number of these dresses could be interesting contenders for the red carpet.
